Abstract:

When we are interested in psychic suffering, it is not uncommon for the body to be invested in expressing this suffering. If we are particularly interested in anorexia nervosa, the representation of the body is a key issue in pathology but also in therapy. This conception is mainly argued by psychomotor therapists with regard to their concepts and clinical discoveries in neurology and psychiatry. To date, it has been established that self-perception can be modulated by interventions focused on touch. In this context and with the support of research in child psychiatry and psychology, we raise the question of the place of osteopathy, which could also be considered as an aid in physico-psychic remediation. The follow-up of our patients hospitalized for eating disorders leads us to think that a transdisciplinary approach would present an added value in the rehabilitation of the body schematic.

Lorsque l'on s'intéresse à une souffrance psychique, il n'est pas rare que le corps soit investi dans l'expression de cette souffrance. Si l'on s'intéresse notamment à l'anorexie mentale, la représentation du corps est un enjeu clé de la pathologie mais aussi de la thérapeutique. Cette notion est principalement argumentée par les psychomotriciens au regard de leurs concepts et des découvertes cliniques en neurologie et en psychiatrie. Il est à ce jour établi que la perception de soi serait modulable par des interventions centrées sur le toucher. Dans ce contexte et avec l'appui de recherches en pédopsychiatrie et en psychologie, nous posons la question de la place de l'ostéopathie qui pourrait elle aussi s'envisager comme une aide à la remédiation physico-psychique. Le suivi de nos patients hospitalisés pour des troubles du comportement alimentaire nous laissent à penser qu'une approche transdisciplinaire présenterait une valeur ajoutée dans la réhabilitation de la schématique corporelle.
