Abstract:

The HTA-Report 124 (Health Technology Assessment) by DIMDI (Deutsches Institut für Medizinische Information und Dokumentation) showed among numerous studies, that baby ambulances are most successful in working with young infants with postnatal adjustment disorders. Osteopathy was not even mentioned. For taking part in research in interdisciplinary teams, osteopaths have to expand their knowledge. The GAIMH (German Association for Infant Mental Health) created a catalog of standards for persons who work with pregnant women and young infants from 0 to 3 years and their families. These standards shall become part of the osteopathic curricula.

Zusammenfassung Im HTA-Bericht 124 (Health Technology Assessment) des Deutschen Instituts für Medizinische Information und Dokumentation (DIMDI) wurde laut zahlreicher Studien über die Behandlung von Säuglingen mit Regulationsstörungen die Beratung in den Säuglingsambulanzen als wirkungsvollste Maßnahme beschrieben. Die Osteopathie fand keine Erwähnung. Um in den interdisziplinären Teams an der Forschung teilhaben zu können, müssen Osteopathen ihr Wissen erweitern. Die Gesellschaft für Seelische Gesundheit in der Frühen Kindheit (German Association for Infant Mental Health, GAIMH) hat dazu einen Anforderungskatalog erstellt, der Standards für Therapeuten enthält, die mit Schwangeren sowie mit Kindern unter 3 Jahren und deren Familien arbeiten. Diese Inhalte sollten Teil der osteopathischen Ausbildung werden.
