Abstract:

This quantitative osteopathic treatment study measured the impact of global osteopathic treatment (GOT) on quality of life in female first responders diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) using the 36-Item Short Form Survey developed by RAND (SF-36). After the intervention, the experimental group showed a greater improvement than the control group for all subscales of the SF-36.

In dieser quantitativen osteopathischen Behandlungsstudie wurde mithilfe der von RAND entwickelten Kurzform-Umfrage (SF-36) zur körperlichen und geistigen Gesundheit der Einfluss der globalen osteopathischen Behandlung (GOT) auf die Lebensqualität von Ersthelferinnen gemessen, bei denen eine posttraumatische Belastungsstörung (PTBS) diagnostiziert wurde. Nach der Intervention zeigte die Versuchsgruppe für alle Subskalen des SF-36 eine stärkere Verbesserung als die Kontrollgruppe.
