Abstract:

Until now no nationwide standard reglementations for quality assurance of health care services have been established in Austria. Initiatives of different professional groups and corporations already started to establish game rules for quality assurance by now, but the necessary foundations are only accomplished since the health care reformation law in 2005 and first of all the included health care quality law were released. An own legislation for osteopathy in Austria does not exist right now. The Austrian Association for Osteopathy tries to develop osteopathic quality assurance measures and - as a first step in application - tries to establish them within the practices of their members.
