Abstract:

Dizziness is a common cause of consultancy in the daily practitioners office, therefore a pragmatic approach to this symptom is described in the following article. Beside exact anamnesis and classical examinations also osteopathic standard-test are applied. The aims of treatment have to be defined together with the patient. Futhermore non-osteopathic treatment, an exercise program for home-use and a management for crises are common parts of treatment as well as the described osteopathic techniques for the phenomenon dizziness.

Schwindel stellt einen häufigen Beratungsanlass in der täglichen Praxis dar, daher soll im Folgenden eine pragmatische Herangehensweise an dieses Symptom dargestellt werden. Nach exakter Anamnese kommen neben den klassischen Untersuchungsgängen auch osteopathische Standardtests zur Anwendung. Die Festlegung eines Behandlungsziels mit dem Patienten, das Aufzeigen auch nicht osteopathischer Behandlungen sowie ein konkretes Übungsprogramm und ein Krisenmanagement gehören genauso zur Behandlung wie die beschriebenen osteopathischen Techniken zur Bewältigung des Phänomens Schwindel.
