Abstract:

Excessive crying is defined as a baby who - although healthy - cries for more than 3 hours a day, more than 3 days a week and for longer than 3 weeks for no apparent reason. In German-speaking countries, this phenomenon is also known as three-month colic. At the end of May, Springer Medizin published the news that osteopathy and chiropractic were without proven effect in three-month colic [1]. The news referred to a medical professional information accessible with the appropriate medical professional certificate. We took a more detailed look at the research used.
