Abstract:

Editor's note: Once again, we are at the time of year when the annual AAO Convocation will occur. Convocation is a very special time: a time to come together with like-minded colleagues, when we can renew ourselves, teach each other, learn from each other, and to be grateful for the privilege of being able to practice osteopathic medicine. In keeping with this sentiment, we present some words from our founder, Andrew Taylor Still, MD, DO, as given to his own students in the very early days of our profession. Enjoy! From: Still, AT. Autobiography of A. T. Still. Kirksville, MO. Pblished by the author, 1897: 363-368.
