Abstract:

Background: It was done a methodological study to test the reliability of the fi ndings of the bones and joints of the extremities by the mechanical link. Both the intra-rater and the inter-rater reliability were determined. Methods: 4 testers checked the bones and joints of the extremities on 40 test persons with 36 tests by the Mechanical Link. The results of the findings by the Mechanical Link of each tester have been recorded by „Google Forms“. These results have been translated into numerical values in an excel-sheet. The following coefficients of reliability have been computed: Holsti-Coeffi cient, Fleiss’ Kappa and Krippendorff ’s Alpha. Results: The results by Holsti show a coefficient of the intra-rater reliability on an average of 0.86 and a coefficient of the inter-rater reliability on an average of 0.80 each, the Fleiss’ Kappa and the Krippendorff ’s Alpha reaches a coeffi cient of all testruns on an average of 0.61.
