Abstract:
The case report describes the phenodynamic-osteopathic treatment of a 61-year-old patient with a hygroma without osteopathic corrective technique. The aim of the treatment was to develop a suction effect from the area of the cerebral ventricles by relaxing the nervous system so that the edema is slowly evacuated. The treatment itself consisted of being consciously perceived as a patient from the perspective of the practitioner and against the silent background of an idea lying in the infinite (Husserl) and with the infinite space of the fourth ventricle (Sutherland), without giving in to one‘s own corrective tendencies. The result of the treatment, which lasted several sessions, was that the hygroma completely regressed. The conclusion lists reasons why phenodynamic-osteopathic treatment may have played a significant role in the convalescence of this case.
