Abstract:
The frequency-regulated mechanical vibration of the whole body or of segments of it – through manual osteopathic technique or mechanical vibration – might increase zonal microcirculatory volume and extracellular matrix repairing function, thus allowing faster functional recovery without fibrotization and inducing neurological adaptive signaling. The principles of indirect tissue manipulation are based on the functions of neurological and mechano-biological response to physical stimuli. The scope of the following article is to verify some of the effects of unidirectional low frequency vibrations which are manually induced.
