Abstract:
Mechanical link is an osteopathic, individual examination and treatment method. This method is clearly structured, is reliable, follows a defined protocol and is simple in its application. It requires precise and detailed anatomical knowledge. All these factors make it possible to determine the treatment concept exclusively by means of systematic diagnostics. Following a strict protocol, each patient is examined with approximately 220 tests for lesions (loss of elasticity) in the interstitial connective tissue. The sum of the lesions found is called the total lesion. To neutralize this total lesion is the goal of any treatment. The lesions are hierarchized with the inhibitory balancing test. They are classified into primary, dominant and secondary lesions. The treatment follows this hierarchy and in that way, determines the treatment process for the neutralization of the total lesion. The lesions to be treated are neutralized with the Recoil, a direct technique applied to the elasticity barrier of the structure to be dissolved. In doing so, it is the finding that determines where to start, the course and the end of each treatment. The therapist takes the relaxed role of the user and then intelligently analyzes the interrelations that had led to the patient‘s problem. This approach opens up new ways to recognize and understand lesion chains.
