Abstract:

This dissertation profiles in the philosophical horizon the contemporary practice of osteopaths. Turning to philosophical currents, the author defines osteopathy in its origin and character as a philosophy of practice and a medical philosophical art teaching. In this context, he systematically examines the writings of the founding fathers of osteopathy in their historical context. This osteopathic practice is a diagnostic and therapeutic actio palpationis in the Tastwelt that lead to self-perceived-perceptions of qualitative experience. The dissertation explores the questions of how these perceptions can be phenomenologically recorded, analyzed, and publicly communicated in a philosophical conversation of the present.

Diese Dissertation profiliert im philosophischen Horizont die zeitgenössische Praxis der Osteopathen. Der Autor definiert die Osteopathie in der Hinwendung zu philosophischen Strömungen in ihrem Ursprung und Charakter als eine Philosophie der Praxis und eine medizinphilosophische Kunstlehre. Er untersucht in diesem Zusammenhang die Schriften der Gründerväter der Osteopathie systematisch in ihrem historischen Kontext. Bei dieser osteopathischen Praxis handelt es sich um eine diagnostische und therapeutische actio palpationis, die zu Wahrnehmungen qualitativen Erlebens führen. Das Buch geht den Fragen, wie diese Wahrnehmungen phänomenologisch erfasst, analysiert und öffentlich kommuniziert werden können, in einem philosophischen Gespräch nach.
