Im Ambulatorium für Physikalische Medizin und Rehabilitation (PMR) der Burgenländischen Gebietskrankenkasse (BGKK) wurde das Fasziendistorsionsmodell (FDM) nach Stephen Typaldos [6] auf seine Anwendbarkeit im ambulatorischen Setting getestet. FDM hat sich als schlüssiges und hilfreiches manualtherapeutisches Konzept bewährt. Als effektive Kurzzeit-Schmerztherapie führte es neben einer Arbeitsentlastung innerhalb der Teams des Ambulatoriums zu einer Verkürzung der Krankenstandsdauer der Patienten.
