Abstract:

For a 39 year old primipara a symphyseal disruption was diagnosed post partum. In contrast to the surgical fixation of the pubic bones and the conservative therapy with belts and analgesics, the osteopathic intervention can restore stability while preserving mobility and static symmetry in this lesion, as this case has shown. Avoiding late damage is of paramount importance. The treatment of the venous system with its influence on the flexibility of tissue of the pelvis plays a crucial role.

Bei einer erstgebärenden 39-jährigen Patientin wurde postpartal eine Symphysensprengung festgestellt. Im Gegensatz zur chirurgischen Fixation beider Schambeinäste sowie der konservativen Versorgung mit Gurten und Schmerzmitteln kann die osteopathische Intervention bei dieser Läsion die Stabilität bei erhaltener Mobilität und statischer Symmetrie wiederherstellen, wie der vorliegende Fall gezeigt hat. Die Vermeidung von Spätschäden ist dabei von vorrangiger Bedeutung. Der Behandlung des venösen Systems mit ihrem Einfluss auf die Gewebeelastizität des Beckens kommt eine entscheidende Rolle zu.
