Abstract:

In the fi rst years of life, the lower extremity undergoes several important structural and functional changes as a result of general development and the child starting to walk. It is necessary that osteopaths are aware of these changes and can assess whether they are progressing normally. Trauma and falls can impede health development and change in the lower extremity and, if leſt untreated, may disturb the compensation and influence the whole body physiology.
