Abstract:

An osteopathic treatment is not only based on competent osteopathic techniques, but in the sense of a holistic approach it is also based on empathy, mindfulness and communication with the patient. Therefore, the self-reflection of an osteopath as part of the patient-therapist-relationship can be a decisive factor for a more effective therapy.

Zusammenfassung Eine osteopathische Behandlung stützt sich nicht allein auf fachgerechte osteopathische Techniken, sondern im Sinne der Ganzheitlichkeit insbesondere auch auf Empathie, Achtsamkeit und Kommunikation mit dem Gegenüber. Die Selbstreflexion des Osteopathen im Rahmen der Patient-Therapeut-Beziehung kann somit einen entscheidenden Faktor für eine effektivere Therapie darstellen.
