Abstract:

Neural crest cells get smoothly and easily into seemingly random and completely different parts of the body in order to take on different and at the same time central functions. The neural crest cells evolve from the ectoderm, as do the brain, spine, and skin. When the waves of the ectoderm that form the neural crest meet on the midline, the cells on the crest of that wave ”surf” away. Embryologists describe neural crest cells as the cells that enabled us to undergo a complex development; Chinese doctors describe these features as a characteristic of strong Jing. Abstract original language Neuralleistenzellen gelangen reibungslos und spielend leicht in scheinbar zufällige und völlig unterschiedliche Teile des Körpers, um dann verschiedene und zugleich zentrale Funktionen zu übernehmen. Die Neuralleistenzellen entwickeln sich aus dem Ektoderm, ebenso wie das Gehirn, die Wirbelsäule und die Haut. Wenn die Wellen des Ektoderms, welche die Neuralleiste formen, sich auf der Mittellinie treffen, dann „surfen” die Zellen auf dem Kamm dieser Welle davon. Embryologen beschreiben Neuralleistenzellen als diejenigen Zellen, die uns eine komplexe Entwicklung ermöglicht haben; chinesische Ärzte beschreiben diese Merkmale als Charakteristikum für ein starkes Jing.
