Abstract:

As the largest joint in the human body, the knee joint with its numerous structures has a complex structure with numerous components, which has evolved from the erection of the human body and the resulting bipedality. This anatomical-functional structure of the joint is also reflected in a complex biomechanical mode of operation. Furthermore, in addition to its compensatory function, the knee joint also serves as a „neurological joint” [2] with numerous proprioceptors. This functional complexity must be taken into account in osteopathic treatment. From the universal grip presented in this article, almost all dysfunctions of the knee joint can be treated simply and specifically.

Das Kniegelenk als größtes Gelenk des Menschen besitzt mit seinen zahlreichen Strukturen einen komplexen Aufbau, der sich aus der Aufrichtung des Menschen und der daraus resultierenden Bipedie ergeben hat. Dieser anatomisch-funktionelle Aufbau des Gelenks spiegelt sich auch in einer komlexen biomechanischen Arbeitsweise wider. Darüber hinaus dient das Kniegelenk neben seiner kompensatorischen Funktion als „neurologisches Gelenk” [2] mit zahlreichen Propriozeptoren. Diese funktionale Komplexität gilt es auch in der osteopathischen Behandlung zu berücksichtigen. Ausgehend von dem in diesem Betrag vorgestellten Universalgriff können nahezu alle Dysfunktionen des Kniegelenks einfach und gezielt behandelt werden.
