Abstract:

This article attempts to limit speculation surrounding the regulation of osteopathy in Germany to realistic options. After explaining the German legislative process in Part 1, providing an overview of the healthcare professions and describing the status quo of osteopathy in Germany, Part 2 formulates hypotheses and lists the possible advantages and disadvantages of a professional law. This second part is supplemented by answers from various osteopathy associations to standardised questions about a future professional law.

Dieser Beitrag unternimmt den Versuch, Spekulationen rund um eine berufsgesetzliche Regelung der Osteopathie in Deutschland auf realistische Optionen zu beschränken. Nachdem im 1. Teil das deutsche Gesetzgebungsverfahren erläutert wurde, ein Überblick über die Heilberufe erfolgte und der Status quo der Osteopathie in Deutschland beschrieben wurde [1], werden in diesem 2. Teil Hypothesen formuliert und mögliche Vor- und Nachteile eines Berufsgesetzes aufgeführt. Ergänzt wird dieser 2. Teil durch Antworten unterschiedlicher Osteopathieverbände auf einheitliche Fragen zu einem künftigen Berufsgesetz.
