Abstract:

Palpation is considered predominantly the ability of the cutaneous receptors of the hands as well as the proprioceptors. This is a limited view of palpation in osteopathy. We can perceive moisture and osteopaths report on spatial perceptions in the patient's body. No receptors are defined for these two phenomena. Therefore the author developed the hypothesis that the perception of these phenomena is a combination of the brain. Abstract original language Die Palpation wird überwiegend als die Fähigkeit der Hautrezeptoren der Hände sowie der Propriozeptoren angesehen. Das ist eine eingeschränkte Sicht auf die Palpation in der Osteopathie. Wir können Feuchtigkeit wahrnehmen und Osteopathen berichten von Raumwahrnehmungen im Patientenkörper. Für diese beiden Phänomene sind keine Rezeptoren definiert. So entwickelte der Autor die Hypothese, dass die Wahrnehmung dieser Phänomene eine Kombinationsleistung des Gehirns darstellt.
