Abstract:

After 1945 German doctors became interested in chiropractics and had to accept, that lay healers gave first lectures to them. After a period of learning, doctors invented new aspects into therapy and separated their „manual medicine” from lay men. „Manual medicine” was presented as a unique field of clinical medicine, but after some years chiropractics, osteopathy and „manual medicine” came close again.
