Abstract:

Since 2012 the number of health insurances in Germany subsiding osteopathic treatments has increased. This article presents the evaluation of data provided by BKK advita concerning the refunds of osteopathy in 2013. As a result, costs of benefits like therapeutic measures, medical aids, pharmaceuticals and hospitalization were lowered by nearly 50% after the osteopathic treatment. In this way osteopathy contributes to the well-being of the insurants and also implies a savings potential for health insurances. Given the increasing costs of health care benefits, especially of hospitalization and pharmaceuticals, subsidization of osteopathic treatments appears to be a likewise profitable strategy for both insurants and insurances.

Seit 2012 bezuschussen immer mehr gesetzliche Krankenkassen in Deutschland die osteopathische Behandlung. Der Artikel stellt die Auswertung der BKK advita zur Erstattung der Osteopathie für 2013 vor. Demnach konnten die Kosten für Leistungen wie Heilmittel, Hilfsmittel, Arzneimittel, Krankhaus usw. durch eine osteopathische Behandlung um fast die Hälfte gesenkt werden. Die Osteopathie trägt damit zur Verbesserung der Gesundheit der Versicherten bei und bedeutet zugleich ein großes Einsparpotenzial für die Krankenkassen. Angesichts der steigenden Kosten im Gesundheitsmarkt, v.a. im Bereich Krankenhaus und Arzneimittel, erscheint die Bezuschussung osteopathischer Behandlungen als eine Strategie, von der Versicherte und Krankenkassen gleichermaßen profitieren können.
