Abstract:
Osteopathy, conducted by laymen or doctors, had been a rare subject in Germany before 1945. Still began to receive attention shortly after the turn of the century and in the 1920s, the medical profession responded. In National Socialism, chiropractic was promoted instead of osteopathy, but osteopaths were allowed to present their technique at the International Sports Physicians' Congress in Berlin in 1936.
